How to access our services
We make sure that you are able to access our call centre and get the help that you need. You can call us, whatsapp us or send us a USSD and we will call you back within 90 seconds.
When a member contacts Yebo Doctor one of the Registered Nurses will either reply to the whatsapp or speak to the member on the phone. If the member’s question requires a specialist answer, the nurse will then refer the member to the doctor on call. Where necessary, we will recommend that the member attends a consultation with one of the doctor's from the Network of General Practitioners (GP’s).. There are over 2000 doctors and they are based throughout South Africa.
The Doctor's and nurses in the call centre do not diagnose illnesses or prescribe medication.
They will direct the member to the most appropriate level of care or may put the member in contact with a health professional who can advise on the next steps. If the member is referred to one of the doctor's in the Network of GP’s for a consultation, there is no cost to the member for this visit. There is also no limit to how many times a member can see the doctor but the appointment and referral must be made by a nurse in our call centre.
We do not pay for prescription medication.
